Recap: Sequatchie County Indians vs. Giles County Bobcats

After flying high against the Grundy County Yellowjackets last Friday, The Sequatchie County Indians came back down to earth. Sequatchie County was outmatched by Giles County on the road and fell 41-7. Sequatchie County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Giles County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zori Randolph led the charge by rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Randolph was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. Another player making a difference was Kamauri A turner, who gained 128 total yards and two touchdowns.

Giles County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Caleb Oates and his three sacks.

Sequatchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Giles County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Sequatchie County will be playing in front of their home fans against Tyner Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Tyner Academy is ranked 159th, while Sequatchie County is ranked 140th). As for Giles County, they will head out on the road to face off against Brainerd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
