Soccer Game Preview: Cornerstone Charter vs. River Mill

The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals will face off against the River Mill Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cornerstone Charter is headed into Friday's match following a draw, the team's first since September 17. They and Bethany Community finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Kendall Pope and Travis Pellicane scored both of Cornerstone Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, River Mill came up short against Central Carolina Academy on Monday and fell 4-2. River Mill have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cornerstone Charter's draw makes their record 4-7-5 this season. As for River Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Cornerstone Charter beat River Mill 3-1 in their previous matchup back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
