It was a good run, but Chrisman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Watseka Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Chrisman lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 12-25, 27-25.

Mikayla Wheeler paced Chrisman's offense, picking up eight kills. Wheeler got some help from Morgan Simpson and her 16 assists. Finally, Wheeler was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Chrisman's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Watseka, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chrisman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Oakwood on the 25th. As for Watseka, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Schlarman on the 25th.
