Football Recap: Greenfield Wildcats vs. Jasper Eagles
If Greenfield was riding high fresh off their 66-46 takedown of Schuyler County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 60-36 to the Jasper Eagles on Friday. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Friday.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hudson McGuire, who picked up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 118 yards on only 13 carries. McGuire also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions. Drake Morrison was another key signal caller, throwing for 179 yards and five TDs.
