Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Glades Academy Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Glades Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Pinecrest Prep Crocs. The Dragons were not able to make up for their loss to the Crocs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Pinecrest Glades Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-17.

Pinecrest Glades Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Pinecrest Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Pinecrest Glades Academy and Pinecrest Prep could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Dragons will face off against Somerset Academy South Homestead at 5:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (500 vs. 181). Meanwhile, Pinecrest Prep (ranked 444th) will meet Westwood Christian (ranked 189th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
