Football Game Preview: Buckhorn Bucks vs. Cullman Bearcats

The Buckhorn Bucks will face off against the Cullman Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Buckhorn's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They snuck past Mae Jemison with a 6-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bucks in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won six in a row.

Buckhorn's defense made their presence known, laying out Jaden Burroughs four times. Mae Jemison's QB won't forget Cortez Carr anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Carr is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another thorn in Mae Jemison's side was EJ Hall, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Cullman got the win against Decatur on Friday by a conclusive 37-13.

Buckhorn's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Cullman, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-6.

Buckhorn was able to grind out a solid win over Cullman when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 14-7. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
