Kace West put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has become a key player for Quitman: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 11-12 otherwise.

Looking ahead, West and Quitman will challenge Simsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
