Baseball Game Preview: Trimble Tomcats vs. Eastern Eagles

Trimble hasn't had much luck against Eastern recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tomcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Trimble's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Eastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Trimble came up short against Miller and fell 8-3.

Meanwhile, Eastern didn't have quite enough to beat Warren on Monday and fell 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Warriors since May 3, 2022.

Eastern got a good showing from Dawson King, who kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, King gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2025.

At the plate, Clayton Moore was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Durst, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Trimble's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
