Basketball Recap: Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool lost against Memphis Home Education Association back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memphis Home Education Association. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 167th in Texas, while Memphis Home Education Association are ranked 45th in Tennessee).

When it comes to explaining why Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool lost, don't look at Toby Pike. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Pike's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Huston, who posted eight points.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's record now sits at 29-8. As for Memphis Home Education Association, their record is now 25-9.

Looking ahead, Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Red River at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Home Education Association does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
