Basketball Recap: Raton Triumphs

Raton's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Questa Wildcats, sneaking past 42-40. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Raton can attribute much of their success to Logan Elliot, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Elliot a new career-high in steals (two). Chance Walton was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

The win got Raton back to even at 1-1.

Raton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Roy Municipal School at 4:30 p.m. on December 10. As for Questa, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Antonito at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
