Suggested Video

Amboy extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 3-12-1 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Serena Huskers. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

As for Serena, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Serena, who have now won nine contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Serena's part, Cassie Walsh made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Walsh has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, RayElle Brennan was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jenna Setchell, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

While Amboy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
