Softball Game Preview: Forest Hills Eastern Hawks vs. Rockford Rams

The Forest Hills Eastern Hawks will square off against the Rockford Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Forest Hills Eastern's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Rockford has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Forest Hills Eastern's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Forest Hills Central with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Hawks have won 16 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Raena Scully made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Scully was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last seven games.

In other batting news, Forest Hills Eastern got a massive performance out of Emilee Nowicki, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sophia Tabin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Forest Hills Eastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Hills Central didn't got any hits.

Meanwhile, Rockford came up short against Hudsonville on Thursday, falling 17-7.

Rockford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Forest Hills Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 21-9.
