Volleyball Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

Batesville was the 3-1 winner over Greensburg when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Pirates on Monday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Batesville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madelyn Dierckman had ten digs and two aces.

Greensburg was led to victory by Kirkley Lowe and Lauren Powers. Lowe had 15 digs and three assists, while Powers had eight digs and one assist. That's the most assists Lowe has posted over her last six contests.

Batesville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Greensburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Batesville has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Franklin County on the 26th. As for Greensburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Lawrenceburg on the 26th.
