Basketball Recap: Mount Paran Christian Starts off Right with Win over Kennesaw Mountain

Mount Paran Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs by a score of 86-76. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Kennesaw Mountain lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Justin Mallett, who shot 43% from the field en route to 19 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Abu Jallow was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Kennesaw Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Mount Paran Christian will challenge North Clayton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Seckinger at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
