Softball Recap: Mott Comes Up Short

Mott extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 21-8-1 in the process. They came up short against the Warren Woods-Tower Titans, falling 14-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Warren Woods-Tower, their win bumped their record up to 11-16. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Warren Woods-Tower's part, the team relied heavily on Alexandria Strunk, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Strunk a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackie Asmar, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Mott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warren Woods-Tower, they will take on Port Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
