Softball Recap: Clover Park Comes Up Short

If Clover Park was riding high fresh off their 27-16 takedown of Foss on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves came up short against the Washington Patriots on Thursday, falling 25-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 back in April.

Clover Park has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Washington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clover Park will venture away from home to face off against Eatonville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cruisers have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to challenge Franklin Pierce at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
