Basketball Recap: Rushford-Peterson's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Rushford-Peterson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dover-Eyota Eagles. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Rushford-Peterson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Dover-Eyota, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Rushford-Peterson and Dover-Eyota should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Rushford-Peterson (ranked 137th) will meet LeRoy-Ostrander (ranked 390th) at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dover-Eyota will square off against La Crescent at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 317 places (105 vs. 422).
