Volleyball Recap: Grove City Comes Up Short

Grove City was the 3-1 winner over Westerville Central when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds lost 3-0 to the Warhawks on Thursday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-12.

Quinn Loar paced Grove City's offense, picking up eight kills. Loar were helped by Lilliana Beckstedt and Lexi Chafins, who contributed six assists each. Salia McLeod controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Westerville Central, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Grove City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Westerville North on the 15th. As for Westerville Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Lincoln on the 16th.
