Basketball Recap: San Juan Hills Drops Highest Score of Season Against Los Amigos

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Juan Hills). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 100-67 win over the Los Amigos Lobos. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Lobos are ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Juan Hills had a senior duo take command as Adam Aziz almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine assists and Mason Hodges almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The match was Hodges' 15th in a row with at least ten points. Rocco Jensen was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 14 points.

San Juan Hills was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

San Juan Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Los Amigos, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11.

San Juan Hills will be playing at home against Trabuco Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Los Amigos, they will face off against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Amigos is facing Santa Fe at the right time seeing as Santa Fe is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
