Volleyball Recap: Guilford Park Wins Going Away Against Wilde Lake

Guilford Park won the last time they faced Wilde Lake and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panther put the hurt on the Wildecats with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Guilford Park took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.

Chikanele Onukwugha paced Guilford Park's offense, picking up 12 kills. Onukwugha got some help from Sofia Servedio and her 16 assists. Servedio was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 13 aces.

Guilford Park's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Wilde Lake, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Guilford Park will venture away from home to challenge Meade at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilde Lake, they will head out to square off against Glen Burnie at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
