Recap: Cambridge Springs Devils vs. Mercer Mustangs

The Cambridge Springs Devils won the last time they faced the Mercer Mustangs, and things went their way on Friday too. Cambridge Springs strolled past Mercer with points to spare, taking the game 22-8. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cambridge Springs.

Cambridge Springs' win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Iroquois and 2-7 Saegertown (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.6% over those games). As for Mercer, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Cambridge Springs will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Union City at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Union City is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Mercer will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Cochranton is ranked 473rd, while Mercer is ranked 479th).
