There's no place like home for Scottsbluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Lexington Minutemen 56-7 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bearcats considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Nate Kelley produced another solid performance rushing for 177 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Another player making a difference was Daniel Young, who rushed for 87 yards and two TDs on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Scottsbluff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 503 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Scottsbluff's defense and their four sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Kobe Strom and Riley Stricker, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece.

Scottsbluff pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for Lexington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Scottsbluff will take on Gering at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bearcats 9.4, the Bulldogs 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Lexington, they will square off against Alliance on Friday.
