Basketball Recap: Newton HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Newton HomeSchool played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-23 loss at the hands of the Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Defenders. The Panthers have struggled against the Defenders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Newton HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ephraim Oller posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Newton HomeSchool now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Wichita Defenders HomeSchool, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton HomeSchool will venture away from home to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wichita Defenders HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on Peabody-Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
