Volleyball Game Preview: Wakefield Wolverines vs. Leesville Road Pride + How To Watch

The Wakefield Wolverines are taking a road trip to take on the Leesville Road Pride at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Wakefield was able to grind out a solid win over Athens Drive, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won six in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-27, 25-23.

Broughton came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Leesville Road, but Hayden Perry wouldn't allow it. The Pride put the hurt on the Capitals with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Perry, who had 11 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

One reason for the win was Leesville Road's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Wakefield's record now sits at 11-9. As for Leesville Road, their record is now 14-4.

Wakefield might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Leesville Road when the teams last played back in September. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
