Softball Recap: Paint Valley Bearcats vs. North Adams Green Devils
Paint Valley is still undefeated this season after their contest against North Adams on Wednesday, but North Adams came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bearcats skirted past the Green Devils 7-5. While the Bearcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Kasarah Cantrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up five earned runs off 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
