While Cocoa Beach didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Cocoa Tigers by a score of 12-7 on Thursday. This was payback for the Minutemen, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Zoe Vella made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Vella was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
