DuSable skates past Tilden with ease

Recap: DuSable Panthers vs. Tilden Blue Devils

The DuSable Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They took their matchup at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-29 victory over Tilden. 63 seems to be a good number for DuSable as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

DuSable was led to victory by Ave'Veyon Watkins and Patrick Malone. Watkins scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Malone scored 23 points. The matchup was Watkins' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kendell Shepard, who scored eight points.

Despite the loss, Tilden still got an impressive performance from Jayvion Banks, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.

DuSable is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Tilden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DuSable will take on Instituto Health Sciences at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Instituto Health Sciences comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Tilden is on the road again on Thursday and play against Back of the Yards College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on January 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Back of the Yards College Prep is ranked 667th, while Tilden is ranked 646th).
