Baseball Recap: Jordan Gets the Win

While Jordan's win against Cabrillo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Jaguars on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Julian Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has become a key player for Jordan: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 9-12-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Jordan's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Alcala, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Jordan's win bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Cabrillo, their loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-24.

Coming up, Jordan will take on Santiago at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Cabrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
