Basketball Game Preview: Belvidere Bucs vs. Belvidere North Blue Thunder

The Belvidere Bucs will square off against the Belvidere North Blue Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Belvidere is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Belvidere ended up a good deal behind Boylan Catholic and lost 58-39. The match marked the Bucs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Arianna Labeau, who went 9 for 16 on her way to 19 points. Kayla Beaudet was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Belvidere North's game on Tuesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Harlem, falling 59-39. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Thunder in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost five in a row.

Belvidere's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Belvidere North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Belvidere strolled past Belvidere North in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 59-41. Does Belvidere have another victory up their sleeve, or will Belvidere North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
