Volleyball Recap: Southwestern Takes a Loss

Southwestern came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Portville Panthers. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Portville, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southwestern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Chautauqua Lake on the 16th. As for Portville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Dunkirk on the 15th.
