Baseball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra and Covina squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Alhambra had to settle for second. They came up short against the Colts, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Moors have suffered since April 16th.

George Castillo was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Moses Llamas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Covina, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13-1 record this season.

Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covina, they will face off against Western Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Fightng Lancers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
