Baseball Recap: Brownsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ben Davis on Saturday, Brownsburg came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Noblesville Millers on Monday, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Millers: they've now lost six in a row.

Brownsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Canyon Koonce, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Brownsburg's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Noblesville, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.

Coming up, Brownsburg will head out on the road to challenge McCutcheon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Noblesville, they will welcome Zionsville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Millers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
