Volleyball Game Preview: Mount Mercy Academy Magic vs. Nichols Vikings

Mount Mercy Academy is 2-8 against Nichols since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Mount Mercy Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Mount St. Mary Academy and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mount Mercy Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 23-25, 25-11, 22-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Nichols came up short against Cathedral Prep on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-12.

Nichols' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mount Mercy Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
