O'Connor came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Taft Raiders as they made off with a 10-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Mason made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Mason wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Contreras, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Rudy Perez, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

O'Connor pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Taft, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

As of now, neither O'Connor nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
