Softball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Takes a Loss

Briarcrest Christian came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Gibson Southern Titans, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

Briarcrest Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Eison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That hit marked the first that Eison got this season.

Briarcrest Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. Gibson Southern's record now sits at 4-2.

Coming up, Briarcrest Christian will welcome Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gibson Southern, they will head out on the road to challenge Floyd Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
