Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Roosevelt won the last time they faced Clinton School and things went their way on Thursday too. Roosevelt snuck past Clinton School with a 44-40 victory.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton School lost, don't look at Alessandra Stotz. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. Stotz is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Kate Stanley was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Roosevelt pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Clinton School, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Roosevelt will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bergtraum at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Clinton School will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Irving at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
