Basketball Game Preview: Montgomery Cougars vs. Ridge Red Devil

The Montgomery Cougars will square off against the Ridge Red Devil at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Ridge likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Montgomery beat The Pingry School 67-58. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Big Blue: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Ridge earned a 58-49 victory over Immaculata on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devil.

Montgomery's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Montgomery came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridge when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 55-52. Will Montgomery repeat their success, or does Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
