Amador Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Carondelet on Saturday. The Dons blew past the Cougars 9-3. This was payback for the Dons, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lauren Tran and Mai Falcone did most of the damage at the plate: Tran went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Falcone scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI Tran has posted since back in March of 2024. McKenna Charbonneau was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Amador Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Amador Valley back to even at 7-7. As for Carondelet, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
