Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Invest Collegiate Imagine

Invest Collegiate Imagine extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Asa Gura. Everything went the Invest Collegiate Imagine Kingfishers' way against the Summit Charter Bears on Thursday as the Invest Collegiate Imagine Kingfishers made off with a 73-52 win thanks in part to Gura, who went 11 for 25 en route to 24 points along with eight boards and seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Ordiway, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Summit Charter lost, don't look at Chance Wilson. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 36.5% of Summit Charter's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was August Stewart-Payne, who had 13 points and three steals.

Invest Collegiate Imagine's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Summit Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Invest Collegiate Imagine will venture away from home to square off against Bethel Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Summit Charter has already played their next match (against Highlands), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
