Baseball Recap: Lake Catholic Wins Going Away Against Nordonia

Lake Catholic was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Nordonia on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Knights. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

A.J. Trobenter was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Micah Nytrae was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Lake Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nordonia only posted a batting average of .000.

Lake Catholic's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Nordonia, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Lake Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 loss against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on the 12th. As for Nordonia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Mayfield on the 10th.
