Woodruff had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Chesnee Eagles 75-23. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Woodruff's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jensyn Turner led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to 11 assists and six steals. Turner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Burnette, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five steals.

Turner wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Woodruff was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Woodruff pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Chesnee, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Woodruff and Blue Ridge will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Woodruff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Chesnee, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
