Softball Recap: San Jacinto Has No Trouble Against Vista Del Lago

On Wednesday, the San Jacinto Tigers got the win against the Vista del Lago Ravens by a conclusive 17-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Keyera Cameron was a standout: she fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamorah Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI.

San Jacinto hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

San Jacinto pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Vista del Lago, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

San Jacinto will take on Rancho Verde at 3:15 a.m. on Monday. Rancho Verde is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Vista del Lago, they will face off against Hemet at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hemet has eight straight wins, Vista del Lago has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
