Baseball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Takes a Loss

Fountain-Fort Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pueblo West Cyclones. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Kash Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Pueblo West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fountain-Fort Carson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rampart at 4:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Pueblo West, they will head out to face off against Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
