Softball Recap: Warrior Run Takes a Loss

Jersey Shore hit Warrior Run with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Defenders came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-7.

Lakesha Hauck made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Sienna Wise was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Warrior Run now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Jersey Shore, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Warrior Run will challenge Hughesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jersey Shore, they will face off against Shikellamy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
