Basketball Preview: Dr. Krop Lightning vs. Hialeah Thoroughbreds
The Dr. Krop Lightning will square off against the Hialeah Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dr. Krop, who comes in off a win.
Dr. Krop hadn't beaten North Miami Beach on the road since February 6, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Lightning simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chargers 89-52. The Lightning pushed the score to 70-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers had little chance of recovering from.

Dr. Krop's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anigh Gracia, who went 10-for-12 en route to 22 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. That's the most rebounds Gracia has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayton Owens, who shot 52% from the field on his way to 25 points.
