Basketball Recap: Briggs Comes Up Short

Briggs played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Olentangy Berlin Bears and fell 70-20. The Bruins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.

Olentangy Berlin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Bruns, who shot 50% from the field en route to 21 points. The contest was Bruns' seventh in a row with at least 19 points. Luca Filia was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine assists and six boards.

Briggs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Olentangy Berlin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Briggs will welcome Africentric Early College at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Olentangy Berlin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-38 victory against Hayes on the 30th.
