Basketball Recap: South Sevier Piles Up the Points Against Water Canyon

South Sevier won the last time they faced Water Canyon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The South Sevier Rams simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Water Canyon Wildcats 64-18. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.

Leading South Sevier to victory were Stockton Roberts and Kanyon Okerlund. Roberts went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Okerlund went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points and three steals. That's the most assists Roberts has posted since back in November of 2023. Brace Brindley was another key player, putting up nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: South Sevier was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

South Sevier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Water Canyon, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

South Sevier is taking a road trip to take on Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Water Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beaver at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
