Softball Preview: Dobson Mustangs vs. Skyline Coyotes
Dobson is 9-1 against Skyline since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Dobson got a massive performance out of Samantha Kapanak, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Natalie Hamblin, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They suffered a rough 20-0 defeat at the hands of Red Mountain on Thursday. Skyline has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got Dobson back to even at 12-12. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
Everything went Dobson's way against Skyline when the teams last played two weeks ago as Dobson made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dobson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
