Soccer Recap: Southport Comes Up Short

Southport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Perry Meridian Falcons.

Southport now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Perry Meridian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Coming up, Southport will be playing in front of their home fans against Decatur Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry Meridian, they will take on Franklin Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
