Baseball Recap: Soddy Daisy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Soddy Daisy's offense. They fell just short of the South-Doyle Cherokees by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cherokees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2015.

Soddy Daisy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Eversole, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Soddy Daisy and nudges their season record down to 21-13-2. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for South-Doyle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-16-1.

As of now, neither Soddy Daisy nor the Cherokees have any future games scheduled.
